Wi-Fi Access

If you are on campus, you can connect to CACCnet to access free wi-fi.

Alexander City Learning Resource Center (Library) 

The LRC in Alexander City has 12 desktop computers available for use by students, faculty, staff, or the general public. 

  • Betty Carol Graham, Room 219 & 220 (when classes aren't in session)
  • Business Science Building, Room 110 (when classes aren't in session)

Childersburg Learning Resource Center (Library) 

The LRC in Childersburg has 10 desktop computers available for use by students, faculty, staff, or the general public.

Other computer labs that can be used when classes aren't in session: 

  • A-Building, CIS lab, room 122
  • Nursing Building, room 109 (nursing students only)
  • H-Building, The English Lab (students can use when classes aren't in session)
  • L-Building, SSS STEM computer lab (SSS STEM students only)

Talladega Center Computer Labs

  • Lab suite 101 - student use/placement testing
  • Room 110 - student use/placement testing
  • Room 112 - for classes (when not in use for class, can be student use, placement testing etc..)

Prattville Computer Labs

  •  Room 409

 

Laptops

Do you need a laptop for your classes?

  • The LRC has approximately 250 circulating laptops available for check out for students. You can check out these laptops on the Alexander City campus, Childersburg campus, Prattville campus, or Talladega center. You must be currently registered for the semester to check out a laptop. We will check your registration.
  • In Alexander City, see Leslie Rewis or Susan Vickers in the LRC (Library) Building.
  • In Childersburg, see Annette Hatch in Building A.
  • In Prattville, see Angelique Griggsby or Erin Brock.
  • In Talladega, see Leslie Mitchell.
  • Laptops circulate for one semester and must be renewed each semester. If you drop all classes or graduate, the laptop must be returned immediately.
  • Broken or missing laptops will result in a $250 charge on the student's account. Broken or missing laptop chargers will result in a $25 fee on the student's account.
